How did you get into speedskating? The Park Ridge Speedskating Club had practices after my figure skating lessons and I made the switch.
What is your most memorable speedskating moment? Being on the podium at the World Championships with my teammates.
What movie or book have you seen/read recently you would recommend? Why? I’ve been reading the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. Why? Jamie Fraser. The series has also been recently made into a TV show and I recommend it for the same reason: Jamie Fraser.
Favorite food? Chocolate chip cookies
Who is your celebrity crush? Sean Connery and many fictional characters.
Dream job? Working for a supercar company doing any work that involved calculus.
Favorite city? So far Seattle has been my favorite but there’s a lot of world to see yet.

What is your charity involvement? I participate in the UNICEF Tap Project.
What was the best thing that happened to you this past week? I went to the library, returning my books before incurring a fine and left with only 3 new ones.
What are your plans after speedskating? I want to earn a doctorate in applied mathematics.
Do you have any good luck charms/superstitions/routines? I’ve noticed that I always put my left skate on first. However, I start by tying the right first.
Favorite quote? Never judge a run by the first mile.
If you had one day to live over again, what day would you pick? I don’t have one. I’d like to think that my best days are yet to come and that Groundhog Day is just a movie.
