2025 Long Track Age Group Nationals held this weekend in Roseville

Athletes of all ages competed this past weekend in Roseville, Minnesota at the US Speedskating Long Track Age Group Nationals. Saturday morning brought snowy conditions, with the weather clearing up for a chilly but sunny day to wrap up the competition on Sunday.
Home team Midway Speedskating won the club championship with 180 points, while Puget Sound was runner-up with 167 points and East Penn placed third with 45 points.
The competition was held Feb. 8 and 9 at the John Rose Minnesota Oval in Roseville. Skaters were classified into multiple classes following the 50-meter time trials.
Aiden Meacham, of Colorado Gold Speedskating, won all five events in the Men’s Junior A/Senior Mixed division and totaled 50,000 points to claim the Overall title in the Junior A Men division.
Keeley Whitcomb, competing in the Junior B Women division and for Midway, won the 500m Super Final in 46.47 seconds, 400m in 36.30 seconds and 1400m in 3:20.35.
Riley Martin, also of Midway, won the Senior Men’s title. Ana Kimber, of Upper Valley, won the Senior Women’s title.
Rounding out the Junior Men’s Overall titles were Jeremy Song of Puget Sound in Junior B, David Provod in Junior C, and Dakoda Quant of Midway in Junior D. Elena Stave of Midway won the Junior C Women’s title, and Chloe Kim of Puget Sound won the Junior D Women’s title.
Seven Overall winners were also named in the Masters Men divisions. They were Tim Van Fleet of East Penn (Men 35-39), Paul Good (Men 45-49), Michael Jernquist of Puget Sound (Men 50-54), Keith Wobeser of East Penn (Men 55-59), Jeff Terwilliger (Men 60-64), Richard Fuhr of Northbrook (Men 65-69), and Gary Groen (Men 75-79).
The four Overall winners in the Masters Women divisions were Melissa Dahlmann (Women 40-44), Sara Cushman of Bay State (Women 45-49), Catherine Carrabre (Women 55-59) and Gretchen Hower of Glen Ellyn (Women 60-64).
The competition included several notable performances.
Song had a perfect score in Junior B Men, capturing victories in the 400m, 500m, 1000m, 1400m and 3000m.
Provod won the 400m, 500m, 800m and 1000m in Junior C Men, and finished runner-up to Landon Bogee, of Midway, in the 1400m Super Final.
Quant won two events in Junior D Men and finished second in three other events.
In Junior C Women, Stave won four events, the 400m, 500m Super Final, 800m, and 1400m Super Final.
Kim swept five events in Junior D Women, the 200m, 400m, 500m Super Final, 600m and 1200m Super Final.
Three team pursuit races were held as an additional exhibition event. Master Mix, with Good, Van Fleet and Woberser skating, won the 3-lap event. Midway 6 Men, featuring Ashwin Konduru, Tariq Ellataoui and Johannes Anderson, won the 6-lap event. Midway 8, with Martin, Edward Nagel and Bogee, won the 8-lapper against Colorado 8.
