Spectator Information
The competition is heating up as the best skaters in the US battle it out for spots on the World Cup team. With only a limited number of spots available, the skaters are pushing themselves to their limits to secure their place on the team.
In addition to the intense World Cup qualifiers, we are also hosting the US Open Masters Championships, where master skaters can showcase their skills and experience.

2025 US Speedskating Winter World Cup Qualifier
&
US Open Masters Championships
January 10-12, 2025

Standard 400m indoor oval
This event will serve as qualifying event for selecting the US Long Track World Cup Team.
The event is open to international participation.
Entry Deadline:
December 31, 2024
Entry Fee: $125
Late entries accepted until January 6, 2025 5pm MT. A $100 late entry fee charge will apply.
Preliminary Schedule:
Friday: 500m #1 W/M, 1000m #1 W/M (team selection), 3000m W, 5000m M, 3000m US Open Masters
Saturday: 500m #2 W/M, 1500m W/M, 5000m W, 10,000m M (both C time standard)
Sunday: 1000m #2 W/M, 2x16 laps W/M WCQ (C time standard), Team Pursuit US Open Masters
Coaches Meeting and Draw:
Thursday: 5:30pm virtual
A Zoom link will be sent to all eligible coaches named by their athletes during the registration process.
Official Training:
Official Training is available complimentary on

Eligibility:
Athletes selected to a USS travel team need to be prepared to show proof of a current Athlete Physical Exam Form as outlined. Proof will have to be presented at Athlete Processing immediately following the qualifying competition and cannot be older than 365 days.
- Current USS member in good standing
- International athletes who are a member of a foreign NGB
- To compete in the World Cup Qualifier in any other event than the 500m you must have a “D1” (seniors or a “D2” (juniors & masters) time standard in any distance
- Participants in the US Open Masters nee a IMSSC time standard
Qualifying Time Standard:
Women | Men respectively
*times have to be achieved between July 1, 2023 and entry deadline in a USS, ISU or other NGB sanctioned race
Athlete Check-In:
All athletes are required to pick up their transponders either in person or via a designated individual on Thursday, January 9 10:00 am to 3:00pm at the Pettit national Ice Center Front Desk.
No deposit will be required.
Not returned transponders will be charged to the skater at $100/unit.
Athlete Processing:
For athletes who qualify for international travel as part of the World Cup Team, please be prepared to undergo Team Processing after conclusion of event. Plan approx. 1 hour to complete all paperwork, visa applications (if applicable), and apparel fitting (if applicable).
