SO YOU WANT TO BE A US SPEEDSKATING CERTIFIED SPEEDSKATING COACH?
1. Visit the US Speedskating Events page (http://www.usspeedskating.org/events) to see what coaching clinics are available.
a. If there aren’t any clinics available, that you can attend, you can do a self study as long as you find a level 2 or higher (level 3 if you are trying to become a level 3 coach) US Speedskating Coach to be your mentor.
2. Go to the About Us section of website and select documents and forms and then coaches.
3. Download a coaching application form and waiver.
4. Email the completed forms, along with payment, to Ryan Leveille at rleveille@usspeedskating.org.
5. USS will email you the coaching manuals and test.
6. Under the coaching page, of the US Speedskating website, you will also find a list of requirements for each level of coaching. Read, and complete, all of the requirements for each level you are completing.
7. For Level 1 you have 1 year to complete all the requirements, level 2 & 3 must be done in 2 years.
8. Once you have completed all of the requirements email all documents, forms and certifications to Ryan Leveille at rleveille@usspeedskating.org.
9. Please Note: You must be at least 16 years of age to become a USS Certified Coach
